Terms and Conditions of Service

By using the services of KSK Computers, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

  • Make sure to Back up all your data and find your BitLocker Encryption Recovery Key before the appointment.
  • The engineers at KSK Computers. strive to provide excellent service. Our first priority is to back up, save and preserve the data of our clients. If, for some reason a service or repair results in data loss, KSK Computers does not hold responsibility in any way.
  • KSK Computers. will not hold liability for any hardware failure, software corruption, loss of data, or loss of revenue that may have occurred before, during, after, or as a result of a delay or work undertaken.
  • A minimum onsite service charge of 1 hour applies. There is no call–out charges in the City of Montreal.
  • Congestion charge (if applicable) will be included in the bill presented to the customer on top of the quoted price.
  • Our preferred forms of payment are cash Only.
  • On Desktops Laptops Motherboards and any Electronics, repairs are unpredictable. Your device may be beyond repair or may be permanently damaged during repair and rendered useless. Circuit board components can fail without warning Normally or especially on liquid damage devices where components can short in the circuit board or in the circuit board layouts in between, when on battery power electricity it will promote oxidization, and corrosion much faster and get rust in overtime on circuit trays and components leads. While we will do our best to repair and save your devices we cannot be held responsible if further damage occurs during the repair attempt.Repairs on devices with glued-on screens involve prying the screen to access internal components. Screens are very delicate and can crack or break during the prying process. The risk of screen breaking is minimal, but glass can break and risks do exist most on Tablets and AIO Touch Screens.PC Apple Desktop, Laptops Computers, and any electronic devices can fail without any warning at any time we do not hold any responsibility for this type of behavior but we try our best to fix your device and bring it back to life.
  • All hardware repairs carry 3 month warranty period on parts, not on labor.
  • All software repairs carry a non-warranty period on labor.
  • If a hardware repair is undertaken and any of the parts provided/installed fail after the 3 months warranty period is over, but still have the manufacturer’s warranty left, we can undertake the repair. However, a labor charge will apply.
  • Before you drop off your Device to repair customer must back up all data we do not hold responsibility for any loss of data RAID or Microsoft BitLocker File Encryption.
  • We do not hold responsibility for any software installed, any damage to the equipment, loss of data, or loss of revenue that may have been a consequence of a software installation, hardware repair/installation, Data Recovery, or any other work undertaken.
  • We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone without stating a reason. Abusive telephone behavior will not be tolerated.
  • We do not pass information such as e-mail addresses, telephone numbers, home, and company addresses, or any other kind of personal information to third parties.
  • Repair Attempt Fee We charge a repair attempt fee for most devices that involve motherboard repairs,  data recovery, or devices that had prior repair attempts. If repair is unsuccessful or data recovery is not possible, or the device was previously worked on before it arrived at our shop you will be charged a repair attempt fee ranging from $160-$180 to cover the time spent working on your device.
  • Pickup time limit and storage to our limited storage capacity, we will hold on to devices for up to 14 days after we contact you to pick up your device. After the 14 days period, if we have not heard from you, we will consider your device abandoned and KSK Computers will have the right to sell the device to recover service cost and parts used to fix your device, or we’ll recycle the device if it’s non-functional. We cannot guarantee that your equipment will not be discarded after the initial 14-day period, so it is critical that you pick up your equipment on time or make arrangements with KSK Computers to store your equipment until you can pick it up.  If you make arrangements to pick it up after 14 days, You will be billed $90 a month for storage.
  • Apple Product Activation Lock: on and after 2018, please turn off the Activation lock before sending the product back to us or the manufacturer, click on the provided link to learn How to disable Activation lock.
